Attention all area landowners! Joan Russell of Bastrop will host an “Open Forest Day” on April 6th, 2003 with the Texas Forest Service, Texas Parks and Wildlife, and Cooperative Extension, and others. This education event will feature exhibits on stages of forest management, plant identification, Firewise landscaping, and other items of interest. This is a great opportunity to experience what is often talked about or only seen in pictures. Natural Texas prepared a trail which will double as a firebreak for a prescribed burn.
